Audit Spotlights
Real Audits. Real Evidence. Real Outcomes.
Every engagement we share here is a real on-site audit — photographed, documented, and scored by our team. No stock photos, no composites.
Buyer FAQ
A spec sheet is not proof the factory can make it.
Material identity, die capability, forming trials, and shipment readiness need different checks. These questions connect industrial sourcing risks to Luckee's documented work.
How do you check steel plate against the material paperwork?
For Macrodyne, we reviewed the path from mill coils to finished plates, material traceability, MTR records, and live XRF readings. XRF supports material screening; it does not by itself establish every chemical and mechanical requirement of ASTM A36. Read the A36 sourcing audit.
How do you verify a supplier's DN150 press-tool capability?
At Changhong, Luckee reviewed the DN32-DN150 die range, independent test evidence recording 16,874 kg peak force, and CMM and laboratory capability. We recommended sample confirmation with further DN150 dimensional checks and repeat force testing on the production-intent tool. Read the Changhong development spotlight.
How do you assess whether a tooling partner can form our part?
For Macrodyne's fire extinguisher shell tooling, we reviewed DWI design, AutoForm simulation, machining, carbide specifications, and the proposed first-article trial programme. We recommended an engineering hold point after the first press trials, before tooling adjustment. Supplier approval did not replace trials and first-article acceptance. Read the DWI tooling audit.
What can function testing reveal beyond a visual kit inspection?
In the Alpha Press engagement, Luckee verified the 174-kit order quantity and checked packaging, completeness, crimp performance, and leakage at 4 MPa. Tested joints showed no leakage, but a separate major oval-crimp defect triggered a shipment hold pending correction, kit completion, and re-inspection. The quantity does not mean every kit underwent every function test. Read the Alpha Press inspection.
Can you verify steel components against drawings before loading?
For Hercules in Qingdao, we inspected all five steel pieces against drawings, including overall dimensions, the central bore, a tapped hole, workmanship, and loading readiness. No critical or major findings were recorded; two minor findings were accepted under the stated criteria, supporting a use-as-is shipment disposition. Read the Hercules inspection.
How do you account for factory disruptions and tariff deadlines?
We track factory-calendar disruptions and trade-rule developments in the Luckee Journal to inform supplier selection and production schedules. For a specific order, confirm the factory location, production and loading dates, destination, and applicable product classification before relying on a delivery or landed-cost estimate. Read the Journal.
